Look for the Spring 2013 issue of Edible Portland magazine, on shelves now! EVENTS April 10: A new film, Finding David Douglas, explores the life of the Northwest’s great naturalist. Join the Oregon Cultural Heritage Commission at 7 pm for a free screening at the Natural Capital Center. April 18: The Portland Culinary Alliance brings you an evening of bean glory, including a panel of Portland’s most passionate beanthusiasts on how to grow, cook and eat local beans, and a tasting of Ava Gene’s borlotti bean bruschetta! Co-presented by Edible Portland and The Better Bean Company. April 19: Celebrate 20 years of work with Wisdom of the Elders, the Native American organization dedicated to cultural sustainability, multimedia education and race reconciliation. The evening will include music from Cedar Rose featuring Nico Wind and Karen Kitchen, an account of Wisdom’s history, storytelling, and a keynote address. There will also be a silent auction and paddle-raising welcoming new Friends of Wisdom. RSVP for this limited space event. |
